Gameplay:

• Number of Players: 4

• Cards: A standard 52-card deck is used. Each player receives 13 cards.

• Trump: All spades are trump cards. In this variation, only spades can be called as trump.

• Objective: Before the game begins, each player bids on the number of hands they expect to win. The goal is to win at least the number of hands bid.

• Bidding: Starting with the player to the dealer's right, players declare their bid and it's recorded on the scoreboard.

• Playing Cards: The first player plays a card. Subsequent players must follow suit if possible. If they cannot follow suit, they may play a trump card; otherwise, they play any card.

• Scoring: The scoring system rewards accurate bidding:

  • Met or Exceeded Bid: 10 points per bidded hand + (hands won - bidded hands) points.
  • Missed Bid: -10 points per bidded hand.
  • Zero Bid: +50 points for not winning any hands, -50 points for winning any hands.

• Settling: "Settling" refers to failing to meet your bid.
