In this oppressive totalitarian State, every aspect of private and public life is under strict control. Laws are stringent, surveillance is pervasive, and privacy is a relic of the past. As the State-appointed manager of an apartment building, your daily tasks involve ensuring the building remains an appealing place for tenants who are constantly coming and going.
Yet, beneath this veneer of normalcy lies your true mission.
The State has tasked you with SPYING ON YOUR TENANTS! Your primary duty is to secretly observe them, listen to their conversations, and gather incriminating evidence. When tenants are absent, you must BUG their apartments, SEARCH their possessions for anything that might threaten the State's authority, and PROFILE them for your superiors. It's also your responsibility to REPORT any tenant suspected of law-breaking or plotting against the State.
Beholder is a game where your choices carry significant consequences!
How will you handle the information you uncover? Will you report a father's suspicious activities, orphaning his children, or keep his illegal actions secret to give him an opportunity to correct his wrongs? Alternatively, you could choose to blackmail him to secure much-needed funds for your family.
