The impact of Mai's introduction was immediate and striking. On the day of her release, Street Fighter 6 saw a peak online player count on Steam soar to over 63,000, a substantial increase from the usual 24,000 to 27,000 peak players. This is the highest peak since May 2024, showcasing the character's draw and the community's enthusiasm.

Mai Shiranui is accessible to players who have the Battle Pass.
