Feature Summary:
Customized Dashboard: The dashboard provides quick access to key features, with customizable layout and content. Important: Each application page has its own options menu. Access it by pressing the menu icon (hamburger icon) while the page is open.
Maps, Place Search, Points of Interest, and Turn-by-Turn Navigation: Utilize Google Maps to display your current location, address, and traffic conditions. Customize map themes and layouts. Search for places on Google Maps, save locations to lists for easy navigation, and use Google APIs for directions and turn-by-turn navigation. Additional navigation features include trip statistics and logging.
Music and Video Playback: Car Penguin includes a built-in media player with controls for local audio and video files, album lists, and a dedicated page for app shortcuts. Popular media providers can be integrated as external widgets on the dashboard and/or toggle bar.
Smartphone Integration: Access and display contacts/favorites to dial using the system dialer or transfer calls via Bluetooth to your phone. Bluetooth call transfer, call log syncing, and SMS require the Car Penguin Server (free app: http://carpenguin.com) on your phone.
