The Chess Engines application is designed to enhance your chess experience by providing a robust collection of OEX chess engines that can be seamlessly integrated into compatible chess GUI applications. This app is not a standalone program and does not include a graphical user interface of its own. Instead, it serves as a vital component for any Android chess app that supports the OEX (Open Exchange) protocol, allowing you to harness the power of advanced chess engines through a user-friendly interface.
Our application includes native executables for some of the most renowned open-source chess engines available today:
- Stockfish 17 - The latest in the Stockfish series, offering cutting-edge performance. Learn more at Stockfish 17.
- Stockfish 16.1 - A slightly older but still highly effective version of Stockfish. Check it out at Stockfish 16.1.
- Clover 7.0 - A unique engine with its own strengths and capabilities. Discover more at Clover 7.0.
To make the most of these powerful engines, we recommend the following chess GUIs:
- Analyze your Chess (free) - Available for download at Analyze your Chess.
- Analyze your Chess Pro (paid) - Enhance your experience with the pro version at Analyze your Chess Pro.
To integrate these engines with the recommended GUIs, simply navigate to the Engine Management Screen, access the Overflow Menu, and select 'Install Open Exchange Engine'. From there, you can choose the chess engine(s) you wish to install and start improving your chess gameplay immediately.
