Effortlessly Scan Your Score Sheets to Digitize Your Games
Our innovative Score Sheet Scanner app transforms the way you digitize your chess games by extracting text directly from your score sheets to generate a digital version of your game. Once scanned, an overview displays the score sheet alongside the generated moves, allowing you to see and correct any misrecognized moves with ease using our move suggestion feature.
Following the digitization process, you can categorize your games by tournament, analyze them on popular platforms like Lichess or Chess.com, or export them as a PGN file for further use.
How to Scan Your Score Sheets
You can capture your score sheets using our integrated scanner or select them from your gallery. The app efficiently extracts the data from the image, supporting up to two score sheets per player for both White and Black. This feature is especially useful for tournament directors who need to process multiple games.
Generate Your Game
After scanning, you can immediately generate your game or manually overlay the move grid for precision. Our app supports multiple chess notations including:
- English: N/B/R/Q/K
- German: S/L/T/D/K
- Dutch: P/L/T/D/K
- Spanish / Italian: C/A/T/D/R
- French: C/F/T/D/R
- Portuguese: C/B/T/D/R
- Czech / Slovak: J/S/V/D/K
While other notations can be specified, recognition accuracy may vary based on our existing model.
The Game Generation Process
The score sheets are sent to our servers to generate the game, with the process taking between 1 and 10 seconds, depending on the score sheet's legibility, the game's length, and your internet connection.
Review Your Generated Game
The overview page displays the score sheet columns and the generated moves, with the background color indicating the move's likelihood. Tapping on a move directs you to the corresponding chess position, where you can also see alternative move suggestions.
Correcting Moves with Suggestions
If a move is not recognized correctly, our app offers move suggestions sorted by probability. You can filter these suggestions by the piece to be moved, making corrections simple and efficient. After making changes, you can regenerate the game from the updated move.
Handling Crossed Out or Missed Moves
Don't worry if you've crossed out or forgotten moves on your score sheet. Our app allows you to skip or insert moves in the game overview and regenerate the game with your adjustments.
Adding Game Data
Enhance your game records by adding player and tournament data, along with additional information in a description field.
Overview and Filtering of Games
The app provides a comprehensive overview of all your entered games, with options to filter by tournament, round, and favorites. You can also use the search field to filter games by players or game descriptions.
Exporting Your Games
Export filtered or individual games as PGN files, customizing the included data such as tournament details, round, and date in the settings. Additional games can be imported into the app via PGN files.
Analyzing Your Games
For deeper analysis, open your games directly in Lichess or Chess.com. Note that exporting and analyzing features are available with a premium subscription.
