Application Description

Unleash your keys with Keymapper, the ultimate tool for customizing your device's hardware buttons to suit your needs! Whether you're looking to remap fingerprint gestures on supported devices, volume buttons, navigation buttons, or even buttons on your Bluetooth/wired keyboards and other connected devices, Keymapper has got you covered. Remember, only hardware buttons can be remapped, and there's no guarantee every button will work. Also, this app isn't designed for controlling games, as your device's OEM/vendor may prevent certain buttons from being remapped.

With Keymapper, you can create powerful "triggers" by combining multiple keys from a specific device or any device. These triggers can execute multiple actions, with keys pressed simultaneously or sequentially. You have the flexibility to remap keys based on short presses, long presses, or double presses. Furthermore, you can set "constraints" for each keymap, ensuring they only activate in specific situations.

However, there are some buttons you can't remap, such as the power button, Bixby button, mouse buttons, or any dpad, thumb sticks, or triggers on game controllers. Note that your key maps won't function if the screen is off, due to Android limitations beyond the developer's control.

Wondering what you can remap your keys to do? The possibilities are vast! Some actions require a rooted device and specific Android versions, but you can explore the full list of features at https://docs.keymapper.club/user-guide/actions.

Regarding permissions, you don't need to grant all of them for the app to work. Keymapper will let you know if a permission is required for a particular feature. The Accessibility Service is essential for remapping to function, allowing the app to listen to and block keyevents. Device Admin permission is needed to turn off the screen, Modify System Settings for changing brightness and rotation, and Camera permission to control the flashlight. Be aware that on some devices, enabling the accessibility service might disable "enhanced data encryption."
