The core objective of Mindi is to win tricks containing tens. The highest card of the trump suit played in a trick wins it. If no trump cards are played, the highest card of the suit led takes the trick. The winner of each trick leads the next one, and captured tricks are kept in a face-down pile.
A significant achievement in the game is capturing three or four of the Tens, securing the hand for the partnership. Capturing all four Tens is known as Mendicot, a prestigious feat in Mindi.
