Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Chaos Arrives December 3rd!
Get ready for a cosmic overhaul! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a galaxy of changes, updates, and brand-new features. Prepare for a revamped Tavern experience with a completely refreshed minion lineup and a futuristic tech twist.
Key Changes:
Bob's Technotavern is getting a major upgrade, and Season 9 resets the rankings. The familiar Trinkets are being retired, making way for exciting new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens allow you to reroll your hero choice at the selection screen – perfect for escaping those less-than-ideal options!
Reveal Schedule:
Before the full launch, Hearthstone is unveiling new content in stages:
- November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.
More New Features:
Season 9 introduces three new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz thanks to his Galaxy's Lens ability. A significant number of minions and Tavern spells (nearly 90!) are entering or leaving the pool, shaking up existing strategies.
Solo Battlegrounds games will see a damage cap adjustment: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. However, this cap is removed once you reach the top 4.
Minion Release Schedule:
- December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs enter the game.
- December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the fray.
- December 9th: Undead and Elementals complete the lineup.
