A recent Genshin Impact leak unveils a new 5-star Dendro DPS character slated for the anticipated 5.0 update, coinciding with the introduction of the Natlan region. This update, following Fontaine's storyline conclusion, promises a wealth of new content, including terrain, characters, weapons, and narratives. Natlan, known as the Pyro nation and associated with warfare (hence the Pyro Archon Murata's "God of War" title), is a highly anticipated addition.
The leaked character, detailed by leaker Uncle K, is a male Claymore-wielding Dendro unit, a unique combination for a 5-star. His abilities center around the Bloom and Burning elemental reactions: Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) creates explosive Dendro Cores, while Burning (Dendro + Pyro) applies a damage-over-time effect. This character's reliance on Burning, however, has sparked community discussion.
Community Concerns Regarding Burning
The Burning reaction's perceived weakness compared to other Dendro reactions has fueled skepticism among players. This contrasts with the upcoming 4.8 update's 5-star Dendro support, Emilie, initially a Burning-focused character but later adjusted for greater team versatility.
While the Natlan Pyro Archon's arrival is confirmed, the 4.8 Special Program (around July 5th) may unveil further Natlan characters. Further leaks suggest Columbina, the Third Fatui Harbinger and a potential Cryo user, as the main antagonist for the Natlan arc, with a projected arrival in 2025.
