Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition is now available on iOS and Android! This release includes a free base game experience featuring single-player island gameplay. For access to all expansions (also purchasable individually), plus additional perks, players can opt for the Ark Subscription Pass.
Our earlier speculation about today's release was correct! Official confirmation arrived just hours ago, accompanied by a new trailer and detailed information. For those unfamiliar with Ark, please refer to my previous article.
Beyond Google Play and the iOS App Store, Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition is also launching on the Epic Games Mobile Store, expanding accessibility for players.
The core Ark experience is free-to-play. Expansions can be purchased individually, or players can subscribe to the Ark Pass ($4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually). The Ark Pass grants access to all current and future expansions, single-player console commands, bonus XP, free key drops, and exclusive server access.
Subscription Concerns:
While the option to buy expansions separately is a positive, the subscription model might be a deterrent for some players who prefer one-time purchases. The specifics of server access will be crucial, as multiplayer is a significant aspect of the Ark experience.
Despite the changes, the core gameplay remains true to the original Ark: Survival Evolved. Our beginner's guide for Ark: Survival Evolved remains relevant for newcomers to the dinosaur survival genre.
