While Baldur's Gate 3 boasts many well-known romance options, a secret encounter with Naoise Nallinto awaits those who venture off the beaten path. This guide reveals how to find and romance this intriguing character at Sharess' Caress.
Locating Naoise Nallinto
This encounter unfolds in Act III, specifically at Sharess' Caress brothel in Wyrm's Crossing, east of the bridge leading to Baldur's Gate. If you've already passed through Wyrm's Crossing, use the South Span fast-travel point.
Naoise resides in the Nymph's Grotto, a locked chamber on the second floor. Look for a door with a green light and ivy – a lockpick skill of 10 or higher will grant entry.
Initiating the Romance
Inside, you'll find Naoise with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier. Interfering will trigger a confrontation. Choosing dialogue options like "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken" will lead to a battle with a mind flayer-transformed Jara.
After defeating Jara, Naoise reveals her attraction to mind flayers. Avoid judgmental responses; instead, options like "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset," followed by "What did you have in mind?" and "Close your eyes and listen," will progress the romance.
The ensuing romance is a mental experience. Naoise asks you to choose what you "will be" from several options (Revered, Contented, Powerful, Rich, or declining the encounter). Selecting "Contented," for example, triggers a brief romantic scene. Note that this encounter is a one-time event; subsequent visits will yield no further romantic interaction. Interestingly, this encounter doesn't seem to affect existing relationships with other companions.
Successfully romancing Naoise grants the "Rapture" boon, providing a passive +1d6 to most ability checks. Shadowheart also awards the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point.
