Bam Margera's inclusion in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 has been confirmed, despite his absence from the initially announced roster of returning skaters. Skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley shared this news during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
According to Bagley, the game was already completed when Tony Hawk personally intervened, requesting Activision to add Margera to the lineup. Although initially told it was impossible, Hawk's persistence paid off, ensuring Margera's spot in the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.
Bam Margera, known for his professional skateboarding career and his role in the Jackass franchise, has faced significant personal challenges, including well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, and multiple rehab stints. Margera was notably fired from Jackass Forever and was also subjected to a restraining order by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.
Recent videos of Margera and Hawk skateboarding together sparked speculation about his return to the game, which has now been confirmed.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game overcame significant hurdles, including the near cancellation following the merger of its original developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
