Firaxis Games Unveils Civ 7 Post-Launch Roadmap
Firaxis Games has revealed its post-launch roadmap for Civilization VII (Civ 7), detailing upcoming content following the game's February 11th release. The roadmap outlines paid DLC, free updates, and events & challenges.
March Updates:
The initial wave of updates in March will include:
- Paid DLC: Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as playable leaders.
- Free Updates: Details on the specific free content additions remain undisclosed, but images suggest the inclusion of the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest as new map features.
Future Updates (Dates TBD):
Beyond March, Firaxis plans to release:
- 2 additional Leaders
- 4 new Civilizations
- 4 new World Wonders
- New events and challenges
Further updates planned for later release, without confirmed dates, include:
- Multiplayer team functionality.
- Expansion of multiplayer capacity to 8 players.
- Player selectable starting and ending ages.
- Increased map type variety.
- Hotseat multiplayer mode.
Firaxis emphasizes that these future additions are currently in development and will be released as soon as possible. Additional content is also slated for October 2025 and beyond.
