Civilization VII: A Roadmap to Global Domination
Civilization VII's launch is imminent, slated for February 11th, with early access for Deluxe and Founders Editions beginning February 6th. The game will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with Steam Deck compatibility confirmed. A day-one patch will address any launch issues.
The developers, Firaxis Games and 2K, have declared the game "gold," signifying the completion of primary development and a commitment to the release date.
Post-launch content is substantial and planned in phases:
Crossroads of the World DLC (March Release): This DLC will arrive in two parts.
- Part 1: Introduces Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, along with the historical figure Ada Lovelace as a new leader.
- Part 2 (Three weeks after Part 1): Adds Simon Bolivar as a leader and Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.
Right to Rule DLC (Q2/Q3 2025): This expansion will further enrich the Civilization VII experience with two more leaders, four additional civilizations, and new natural wonders.
Beyond the DLC, Firaxis promises ongoing improvements and additions. March will see the introduction of new in-game events and natural wonders, including the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.
