Destiny 2: Bug Hinders Rep Progression

Warlock players have discovered another reputation gain bug in Destiny 2 after the launch of the Grandmaster Nightfall. While it has been a very positive few months for Destiny 2, and its influx of new content like Into The Light and then The Final Shape expansion, things have taken a slight turn as of late as bugs have seemingly infiltrated the game at a seemingly increased rate. Bungie continues to address many of the issues through recent updates, but it seems as though players continue to run into more with each weekly reset.

There have been a variety of issues that have popped up recently, with some bugs giving players free rewards for simply going AFK inside a private Crucible match, while others have negatively impacted the experience by giving Destiny 2 players unlimited Paracausal Shots when using the Hawkmoon exotic hand cannon. Warlocks have had it rough as of late due to a reputation bug that prevented them from getting the double XP bonus while playing Gambit, making their climb through the ranks much slower than Titans and Hunters. Unfortunately, it seems like the reputation bug has extended to other parts of Destiny 2 as well.

At the weekly reset for June 25 in Destiny 2, Grandmaster Nightfalls made their return, offering a more rewarding activity for those who were able to overcome the difficulty. To celebrate the activity's return, Bungie also enabled a Rank boost for Vanguard reputation as well as double rewards for completing activities, making it a great time to jump back in. Unfortunately, Warlock players have begun to realize that things are not quite as they seem as Warlock reputation gains continue to lag behind Titan and Hunter mains.

Warlock Reputation is Currently Bugged in Destiny 2
The community has begun to highlight issues with the current double XP for Vanguard reputation, pointing out that Warlock players continue to receive less XP for completing ritual activities. Many indicated they were not aware of the issue, though finding it strange that the level up process felt slower than normal. Shockingly, it appears this XP issue has existed for at least a few months already, though it has yet to be acknowledged or addressed by Bungie. Awareness of the issue seemed to spike last week as players noticed XP gain for Destiny 2 Gambit matches was off for Warlocks in particular.

For now, it seems all Destiny 2 players can do is to continue to raise awareness of the issue and hope Bungie catches wind. The studio has been busy fixing other various issues, with Update 8.0.0.5 for Destiny 2 addressing a long list of problems for players. In particular, the Ritual Pathfinder recieved a few tweaks and changes, also adding more general nodes to allow players to complete a path through just PvE or PvP specific activities. Elemental surges were also removed from Dungeons and Raids with this update, removing a pain point hampering players following the arrival of The Final Shape expansion.
