Netflix's Devil May Cry anime adaptation finally has a release date: April 3rd. The streaming giant revealed the premiere date via a new teaser trailer on X, soundtracked by Limp Bizkit – a fittingly edgy choice.

First announced in 2018, the series, an eight-episode first season, is a collaboration between Castlevania's Adi Shankar and Studio Mir (known for The Legend of Korra and X-Men '97).
Plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, but the protagonist appears to be Dante, likely based on his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than his Devil May Cry 5 iteration. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices Nero in the video game franchise.
The last mainline entry in the Devil May Cry franchise was Devil May Cry 5, released in 2019. This marked a triumphant return to form for the series, following a period of relative inactivity since 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action game, it's highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive Devil May Cry 5 review here.
