Pokémon GO's newest additions keep trainers busy! Following Fidough's arrival, Shroodle is joining the Pokémon GO roster on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. However, unlike many wild spawns, obtaining Shroodle requires a bit more effort.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut and Shiny Status:
The Poison-type Shroodle, initially introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, makes its Pokémon GO debut during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Importantly, Shroodle will not be available in its Shiny form at launch. Expect its Shiny variant to appear in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-types or Team GO Rocket.
Catching Shroodle:
Shroodle isn't a wild encounter. To catch it, you'll need to hatch 12KM Eggs. These eggs, collected from January 15th onwards, will have a chance to contain Shroodle. While its hatch rate might be higher during the Fashion Week event, it's expected to remain in the 12KM egg pool afterward.
Acquiring 12KM Eggs:
Since Shroodle is exclusively found in 12KM Eggs, here's a reminder on how to obtain them:
Defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event provides an excellent opportunity to stock up on 12KM Eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and easier access to Rocket Radars. However, you can challenge Rocket Leaders at any time.
Evolving Shroodle into Grafaiai:
Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also arrives on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it's neither a wild spawn nor hatched from eggs. To obtain Grafaiai, you must evolve a Shroodle using 50 Shroodle Candy. This necessitates hatching multiple Shroodle or using one as your buddy Pokémon.
Pokémon GO is currently available for play.
