Here's the official description:
Civilization VII - VR brings the world of Civilization to life like never before. The game map unfolds on a Command Table, allowing players to zoom in for intricate detail or zoom out for a sweeping overview. Engage directly with iconic world leaders, forging alliances or declaring war across the ages.
Play in immersive VR or mixed reality, switching seamlessly between the two. In VR, players are transported to an ornate museum overlooking a leader-specific vista; in mixed reality, the Command Table adapts to your physical space. The Archives, a dedicated museum room, showcases gameplay achievements in both VR and mixed reality. Enjoy single-player campaigns or compete in online multiplayer matches with up to three other Meta Quest 3 and 3S players.
The PC and console versions of Civilization VII (currently available via early access) have received mixed reactions from players, citing UI issues, limited map variety, and missing features. Firaxis has acknowledged this feedback and promised improvements, including UI enhancements, cooperative multiplayer teams, and more diverse map types.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, in an interview with IGN, acknowledged the negative reviews but expressed confidence in the game's long-term success, suggesting the "legacy Civ audience" will appreciate it more with continued play. He described the game's early performance as "very encouraging."
