Frike: A Minimalist Android Game That's Both Intense and Relaxing

Some games pump you up; others soothe you. Frike, the debut Android title from indie developer chakahacka, uniquely manages to be both.

The objective in Frike is simple: survival. You control a floating triangle, segmented into purple, orange, and green sections. Left-side controls manage ascent and descent, while a right-side button rotates the triangle.

Don't let the single level fool you; Frike's world is infinite. There's no finish line.

This endless level features a variety of colored blocks (white, purple, orange, green). Scoring involves aligning your triangle's corners with matching colored blocks. Mismatched or white blocks result in an explosive game over.

Certain blocks offer bonus effects, slowing your descent for strategic maneuvering. Frike deftly balances high-score pressure with a relaxing, scenic experience. Simply navigating the obstacles and appreciating the visuals is a valid gameplay style.

The game features understated visuals complemented by a meditative soundtrack of resonant chimes and metallic sounds.

If this sounds appealing, download Frike for free from the Google Play Store today.
