The story finds Peter Parker, still adjusting to the symbiote suit's influence, facing an unprecedented threat. He'll need all his newfound abilities to protect New York City from Godzilla's devastating rampage.
Written by Joe Kelly (the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man relaunch) and illustrated by Nick Bradshaw (with cover art by Bradshaw, Lee Garbett, and Greg Land), this issue promises a blend of classic monster mayhem and 80s comic book nostalgia.
"This book is a chance to go nuts," Kelly enthuses, "and have a blast with two iconic characters, channeling the chaos of the era." He promises a "love letter served with an earth-shattering roar!"
This marks another high-profile superhero vs. Godzilla crossover, following DC's Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. However, unlike DC's MonsterVerse take, Marvel's series features Toho's classic Godzilla design. The release also follows IDW's Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1, a charity anthology.
