Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 star Ned Luke assures fans that GTA 6 is worth the anticipation, boldly predicting its first-day sales. Discover Luke's insights into GTA 6's development and projected success.
Rockstar Games' Unconventional Approach to GTA 6
GTA 5 Actor Predicts $1.3 Billion First-Day Revenue for GTA 6
Ned Luke, the voice behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, anticipates GTA 6 generating a staggering $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. In a recent interview with Fall Damage, Luke expressed his confidence in the game's potential, highlighting Rockstar Games' unpredictable nature and creative surprises.
Luke emphasizes patience, assuring fans, "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He cites GTA 5's impressive $800 million first-day earnings in 2013, suggesting GTA 6 will significantly surpass this record. Market research firm DFC Intelligence projects over 40 million units sold and $3.2 billion in revenue within the first year, with $1 billion attributed solely to pre-orders.
The Return of GTA 5 Characters in GTA 6?
Luke offers speculation on the possibility of GTA 5 characters appearing in GTA Online and potentially GTA 6. He notes Michael's absence from GTA Online, unlike Trevor and Franklin.
Luke hints at Michael's potential inclusion in a future GTA Online DLC or even GTA 6 itself. While Steven Ogg (Trevor in GTA 5) previously suggested Trevor's death as a narrative device, Luke remains tight-lipped, stating, "Maybe. Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything." Despite the actors' enthusiasm, official confirmation remains elusive.
GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?
Former Rockstar animator Mike York suggests GTA 6 is currently undergoing internal testing. In a since-deleted interview, York emphasized the game's unique unpredictability, stating, "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it."
York believes the game is likely in its internal testing phase, with playable builds potentially circulating among testers. He anticipates further refinements and additions before release.
Rockstar Games unveiled GTA 6 in a December 2023 trailer, but subsequent details have been scarce. While a Fall 2025 release was previously speculated, no official release date has been confirmed.
