The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is slated for a 2025 release, introducing substantial endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 includes several new story quests laying the groundwork for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic saga of Dalaran's destruction, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch launch.

Dalaran, a long-standing fixture in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline, offering a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign is not required. For optimal context and to avoid spoilers, it's recommended to complete prior story content. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises these quests:

• Standing in the Way
• No Breathing Room
• Together, Alone
• The Voice
• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile
• Built to Blast
• Bat Versus World
• Found Friends

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the main campaign, her quest offers insights into plot points relevant to future updates within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. However, unlocking this campaign requires completion of both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (unlocked by achieving at least Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).

To check your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the starting point for Patch 11.1 prologue quests). If Khadgar is present after January 7th, you can receive a quest from him. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The complete Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
