Marvel Snap shakes things up with the new Sanctum Showdown mode

by Owen Mar 15,2025

Conquer the Sanctum in Marvel Snap's electrifying new limited-time mode, Sanctum Showdown! Available until March 11th, this mode introduces a thrilling new way to play, with fresh snapping mechanics and a first-to-16-points win condition.

Sanctum Showdown shakes up the usual Marvel Snap formula. Forget turn six; victory belongs to the first player reaching 16 points. The key? The Sanctum location, a dynamic point-generator that dominates each turn. Snapping takes on a new twist too. Starting on turn three, you can snap once per turn, boosting the Sanctum's value by one point and keeping the pressure on.

Entry costs a single Scroll, but victory earns you another, fueling your climb. You begin with 12 Scrolls, replenishing by two every eight hours. Run out? Replenish your supply for 40 Gold. Regardless of win or loss, every match boosts your Sorcerer Rank and awards Charms, redeemable in the Sanctum Shop for awesome cosmetics and new cards.

Think you'll dominate with Captain Marvel or Dracula? Think again! To ensure fair play, certain cards and locations are banned, including those that manipulate final scores. Cards like Debrii are also removed to prevent overly dominant strategies.

Craft your ultimate Sanctum Showdown deck using our Marvel Snap tier list! This is your exclusive chance to acquire Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben before their March 13th Token Shop debut. Earn these powerful cards, plus up to four Series 4 or 5 cards, through Portal Pulls.

Don't miss out! Sanctum Showdown ends March 11th. Head to the official website for more details.
