The latest season of Marvel Snap has arrived, and it's all about embracing legacy with the introduction of Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. This season not only brings fresh gameplay mechanics but also introduces a variety of new characters, locations, and collectible content to enhance your gaming experience.
Sam Wilson, now stepping into the role of Captain America, is featured prominently in the Season Pass. His card introduces a unique mechanic where Cap's Shield appears at the start of each match at a random location. This Shield can be moved across the board and, while indestructible, it boosts Sam's power by +2 whenever it's in his location. This new ability adds a strategic layer to your matches, encouraging players to think more dynamically about positioning and movement.
Throughout February, Marvel Snap is set to expand its roster with a series of new character releases. Starting with Joaquín Torres on February 4th, followed by Iron Patriot and Thaddeus Ross on February 11th, Redwing on the 18th, and culminating with Diamondback on February 25th. These Series 5 cards will be available through the Token Shop and Spotlight Cache, providing multiple avenues for players to add them to their collections.
Two exciting new locations are being added to the game this season. The Smithsonian Museum location enhances Ongoing abilities by granting an extra +1 Power per card, while Madripoor amplifies the highest-cost cards at its location by +2 Power after each turn. These new environments encourage players to experiment with different deck builds to leverage the strategic opportunities they present.
For collectors, February is a thrilling month with the release of new albums filled with avatars, emotes, and variants. The Viktor Farro album, launching on February 4th, offers rewards including a Darkhawk variant and collector’s tokens. Later in the month, on February 25th, the Lemon Fashion album will debut, featuring exclusive Elsa Bloodstone content.
