Unravel the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, Ahmed Alameen's debut point-and-click adventure game. Launching May 30th on Steam, App Store, and Google Play for $10.99/€, this narrative-driven puzzler draws inspiration from Mesopotamian history.
Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman whose life takes an unexpected turn upon discovering a long-lost brother, prompting her to investigate her father's disappearance after twenty years. Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after the team dissolved, mastering game design to bring his vision to life.
Gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging players to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore captivating environments. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft as key influences. A unique blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including hand-crafted cutscenes, ensures visually stunning gameplay even on lower-spec PCs.
My Father Lied will be available on May 30th. Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available. Stay updated on the latest news by following Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram. A Kickstarter campaign is also in the works, so watch this space!
