Prepare for online co-op adventures with up to four players, commanding a massive army of up to 100 characters in intense melee battles.Developed by Patapon creator Hiroyuki Kotani, with the original Patapon composer Kemmei Adachi returning, Ratatan’s Kickstarter campaign, launched in 2023, has successfully surpassed its console launch stretch goal, securing its release on multiple platforms.
Closed Beta Commences February 27, 2025
According to a recent Kickstarter update, Ratatan's closed beta test begins February 27, 2025. Producer Kazuto Sakajiri shared exciting news, revealing the game has amassed over 100,000 wishlists on Steam and received positive feedback on its original soundtrack demo. While the game won't be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, the team prioritizes the closed beta, aiming for a refined demo for the June Steam Next Fest.
Sakajiri outlined the closed beta's scope: the initial build will include Stage 1, with Stages 2 and 3 added during the month-long test period. He also noted that beta code distribution details, including the start date and time, will be announced via Discord and X upon confirmation.
Ratatan is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. A specific release date is yet to be announced.
