Beyond: Two Souls TV Series on the Way from Star Elliot Page

by Allison Mar 16,2025

Elliot Page, star of the original PlayStation game, is bringing Beyond: Two Souls to the small screen. Page's Pageboy Productions has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to adapt the story-driven adventure into a television series. While still in early development, the project aims to retain the game's acclaimed non-linear narrative. Further details regarding casting and release dates remain undisclosed.

Page described his experience filming the game as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career, highlighting the story's "rich narrative and emotional depth." He aims to create a unique adaptation that resonates with both existing fans and new viewers.

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, emphasizes the team's commitment to honoring the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He notes the exploration of survival and the impact of crucial decisions as central themes in the narrative.

Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later arrived on PlayStation 4 (2015) and PC (2019). Directed and written by Quantic Dream's David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities and her connection to a spirit named Aiden. The game's non-linear narrative, exploring various stages of Jodie's life, and its star-studded cast, including Page and Willem Dafoe, garnered significant attention.

David Cage, collaborating with Page on the TV series, expressed his excitement about the project, praising Page's performance in the game and his suitability to bring the story to a new medium. Cage believes Page possesses the talent and passion to create a unique television adaptation of this beloved story.

The Beyond: Two Souls TV series is still in its early stages, with a debut date yet to be announced. In the meantime, you can revisit IGN's original review of the game here and explore all of our Quantic Dream game reviews here.
