Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Early Access Affected by Server IssuesStill Achieved a Milestone on Steam, Though!
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 experienced some problems at launch, with several reported technical issues. The game entered early access earlier this week, and players have reported various problems, including server issues, FPS drops, stuttering, black screens, and infinite loading times. One of the most common complaints is the "Joining Server Bug" in the PvE Operations mode, where players get stuck on a server connection screen with little or no progress.
In response to these issues, Focus Home Entertainment acknowledged the situation in a community post, thanking players for their feedback and confirming that fixes are in progress. "First off, we wanted to thank you for reporting your issues and giving us feedback. We’re currently working on finding fixes," they said. The post also mentioned other common issues, such as crashes during the first Cinematic scenes and controller-related problems.
Additionally, Focus Home mentioned that linking Steam and Epic accounts is not required to play the game. In the post, the team clarified, "please be aware linking your Steam and Epic accounts is not required to enjoy the game. These features are entirely optional and will not affect your gameplay experience in any way."
Players experiencing server issues are advised to attempt matchmaking again if they are returned to the main menu or the Battle Barge after an unsuccessful connection attempt. While frustrating, this workaround may resolve the issue for some players until a permanent fix is implemented.
