Radiangames has exciting news for racing game enthusiasts with the announcement of Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer that echoes the high-octane thrill of the iconic arcade racing series, Burnout. Originally launched as a mobile game, the sequel is now in development for PC and is slated for release later this year.
The developers have introduced a unique control scheme for Speed Demons 2. Instead of traditional steering, the game focuses on movement. Players will use gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, while controlling the vehicle's direction by moving the analog stick or mouse up and down. The team assures that, despite sounding unconventional, the controls are intuitive and easy to grasp once you start playing.

Speed Demons 2 offers an impressive array of ten game modes, some of which draw clear inspiration from Burnout. Modes like Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage challenge players to wreak havoc on the road within a set time limit, reminiscent of Burnout's Road Rage. Another mode, Scratchless, mirrors Burnout's Burning Lap, pushing players to reach the finish line with minimal damage to their vehicle.
