Our team at IGN experienced similar difficulties; while we managed to open the app sporadically, it consistently failed to play any music.
Spotify has officially acknowledged the situation and is actively working to resolve the issues. The company has also debunked rumors circulating about the outage being linked to a security hack, confirming that these reports are false.
