Sybo\'s new game Subway Surfers City stealth-drops into soft launch on iOS and Android

by Ethan Jan 27,2025

Sybo Games has quietly released a new mobile game, Subway Surfers City, for iOS and Android in a soft launch. This sequel to the wildly popular Subway Surfers boasts improved graphics and incorporates many features added to the original over the years.

The game features returning characters from the original Subway Surfers, along with new additions like hoverboards. The visual overhaul is a significant upgrade from the aging original.

Currently, Subway Surfers City is available in a limited soft launch:

  • iOS: UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines.
  • Android: Denmark and the Philippines.

A Bold Move for Sybo

Creating a sequel to their flagship title is a significant risk for Sybo. The original Subway Surfers, built on the Unity engine, is showing its limitations, prompting the need for a revamp. The stealth launch is an intriguing strategy, especially given the game's global popularity.

The reception to Subway Surfers City will be crucial. We eagerly await its wider release and hope it meets expectations. In the meantime, check out our top five mobile games of the week or browse our list of the best mobile games of 2024 for alternative entertainment.
