World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token to 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch launches.

The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding after 11 weeks, allowed players to accumulate Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary items. Any remaining tokens could already be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency for Timewalking events. Blizzard has confirmed these tokens will have no future use.

This automatic conversion in Patch 11.1 ensures players don't retain useless currency. The conversion ratio (1:20) mirrors the in-event exchange rate.

While Patch 11.1 lacks an official release date, a likely launch window is February 25th, based on the timing of recent WoW updates and the ongoing Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events. This means the conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes. Timewarped Badges acquired through this conversion can be saved for future Timewalking events, as none of the rewards are being removed.
