Despite the historical rivalry between Nintendo and Sega making an official collaboration unlikely, the idea of uniting these beloved heroes has captured the imagination of fans everywhere.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to sequels in these popular franchises, with "Super Mario Brothers at the Movies 2" slated for release in 2026 and "Sonic 4 at the Movies" set to hit theaters in 2027.
