Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

by Christopher Apr 28,2025

Following the exciting announcement of their new game Project C4, ZA/UM has unveiled plans for an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This mobile adaptation, exclusive to Android devices, aims to introduce the game to a broader audience and provide a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. In a strategic move to attract new players, ZA/UM will offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free on mobile. Players can then unlock the full, ad-free game with a single purchase, enabling them to make an informed decision about their investment.

ZA/UM emphasized their dual role as creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, underscoring their commitment to delivering a high-quality mobile experience. "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase," the studio stated, highlighting their dedication to both the game and its community.

Studio head Denis Havel expressed enthusiasm about reaching the TikTok audience, stating, "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment." Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots, showcasing new 360-degree scenes designed to immerse mobile users in the world of Revachol, along with full voiceover audio for a richer, more character-driven experience.

The official description of the mobile version reads: "This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today's mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices." Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed for engaging play in short bursts.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that while the studio retains the same name, many key contributors to the original game have since left ZA/UM, with some working on spiritual successors to Disco Elysium.
