How To Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To reach the cat island, you'll need to head to the Omi region, which you'll likely reach around the midpoint of the game's story. Make sure your characters are well-prepared for the journey ahead. Navigate northeast within Omi to find your destination.
Your goal is Lake Biwa, a significant body of water central to the Omi region. For a smoother trip, it's highly recommended to secure a boat from either Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim across the lake if you prefer a more challenging approach.
Aim for the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima island, featuring a Kakurega where you can rest. Look around the docks; you'll notice plenty of fish being dried, which is a telltale sign of what awaits you.
To immerse yourself in the feline paradise of Okishima, head north toward the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these adorable critters to your collection for use in your Hideout, particularly the elusive rare kittens found here.
While the Leap of Faith typically unlocks new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of your new feline friends. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there's not much else to do on the island except enjoy the company of the cats.
