Mastering Precursor Basin in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy: A Comprehensive Guide

Precursor Basin, following Fire Canyon, presents a seemingly less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, Zoomer-based level in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This guide details all objectives for trophy hunters aiming for 100% completion.

Herding Moles:

This initial task involves guiding four blind moles back to their burrows using the Zoomer. Strategic use of the Zoomer's hop for sharp turns is key to keeping the moles in pursuit. Reward: A Power Cell.

Catching Flying Lurkers:

Located in the same area, these elusive creatures require skillful chasing and ramming. Intercepting their turns proves highly effective. Reward: A Power Cell.

Gorge Race:

Beat the 45-second record set by the Gambler in Rock Village. This race demands precision and timing. Utilizing Blue Eco boosts strategically obtained along the course is crucial. Mastering hop-turns and avoiding Dark Eco crates are essential for optimal speed. A sub-40-second finish earns a trophy. Reward: A Power Cell.

Retrieving the Lake Power Cell:

This requires precise driving and jumps across narrow bridges and gaps. A series of well-timed hops, utilizing ramps and inclines, leads to the Power Cell.

Curing Dark Eco Plants:

A relatively straightforward task involving charging with Green Eco and driving through the infected plants. Multiple passes may be necessary. Reward: A Power Cell.

Purple Precursor Rings:

This time trial demands quick reflexes and accurate navigation. The challenge lies in swiftly passing through each ring before time expires. A key moment involves a mid-air ring accessible by jumping off a bridge. Reward: A Power Cell.

Blue Precursor Rings:

Considerably more difficult than the purple rings, this course necessitates precise driving and skillful use of the Zoomer's hop for aerial maneuvers. Navigating narrow paths, utilizing ramps for height, and avoiding obstacles are crucial. Reward: A Power Cell.

Freeing Scout Flies:

Seven Scout Flies are scattered throughout the level. Collecting all seven grants a Power Cell. Their locations are detailed below:

  • One near the Mole Hole.
  • One atop the slope leading to the Lake Power Cell.
  • One on the narrow bridge near the second fly.
  • One on the right side of the raised area with a hole.
  • One beneath the raised area.
  • One after hopping across three islands.
  • One near the first Blue Precursor Ring.
