The global servers for KonoSuba: Fantastic Days have officially shut down, marking the end of a 3.5-year run. This follows the Japanese version's five-year lifespan. While a relatively short run for a gacha game, it's considered respectable, especially given declining revenue in recent times.
A Dignified Farewell:
Despite the closure, the developers, Sumzap (after Nexon and Sesisoft), maintained active support until the very end. This included new voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior to shutdown. A farewell livestream in December featured Kazuma's voice actor. The Japanese version even went the extra mile by archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the game's content at their leisure. A dedicated offline version was also provided for Japanese players, maintaining access to the story, voice lines, and character collection.
Unfortunately, the global version lacks both an offline mode and a dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel to enjoy the game's story and characters.
The developers have shifted their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game.
