Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for their live-service game, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*, marking the end of new content development with Season 4 Episode 8. This update, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, follows the game's launch in February 2024, which was met with largely negative reviews. Less than a year later, on December 9, 2024, Rocksteady announced the cessation of new content after the January 14 patch. Despite the halt in new development, the game's servers will remain online, allowing players to continue enjoying *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* with friends.
The unexpected live-service elements of the game, which many believe contributed to its rapid decline, did not resonate well with the superhero fanbase. After only 10 months on the market, Rocksteady decided to wrap up the game's live-service journey with Season 4 Episode 8, titled "Balance." This episode introduces new content, including an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, a range of powerful Notorious weapons, and a final Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Additionally, the update includes crucial bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as a reduction in XP requirements for Squad Levels.
Following the release of Season 4 Episode 7 in December, players can now enjoy *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* offline, thanks to an update that enables offline play of the main campaign and all seasonal story missions. Although Rocksteady has not announced a full server shutdown, the offline mode ensures that fans can continue to experience the game even if the servers are eventually taken offline.
For those who missed out on the game during its short-lived run, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* has been added to PlayStation Plus, available until February 3. Subscribers can also grab *The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe* and *Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered* during this period.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------MEDIEVAL GENIUS
Dive deeper into the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, where you'll encounter new twists on familiar sights and explore new locations. Challenge the fortified citadel at The Quarry to defeat the tyrant Brainiac. The Arena offers a venue for jousting tournaments or interdimensional battles, while the awe-inspiring statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van celebrate this era of chivalry and honor.
LIBRA INFAMY SET
The Episode 8 Infamy Set draws inspiration from Libra, a dangerous DC Super-Villain fixated on balance. The set applies stacks of Scales of Libra to enemies, boosting both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack, promoting a high-risk, high-reward playstyle.
NOTORIOUS WEAPONS
Complementing Libra’s Infamy Set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence weapons deliver a 200% damage bonus to enemies with Scales of Libra stacks. The Alt-Fire mode deals an impressive 1,000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100% for effective crowd control.
Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and have a chance to electrify foes, making them perfect for clearing out groups with strategic positioning.
Chronos’ Equilibrium enhances the glass cannon playstyle by granting a 25% damage boost for every 1% of missing Shield, encouraging players to engage directly in the thick of combat.
