Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced yet another delay, with its new release window set for October 2025. This news was shared via the game's official Twitter (X) account on March 26, accompanied by a video update from Executive Producer Marco Behrmann. In the video, Behrmann stated, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases." This focus on polishing the game underscores Paradox Interactive's commitment to delivering a high-quality product.
Over the past few months, Paradox has been actively engaging with the community through Dev Diaries, which have covered various aspects of the game including characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the game's final stages of development, all Dev Diaries have been paused. This strategic move aims to ensure that the developers can concentrate fully on enhancing the game's stability and performance.
A History of Delays
Originally announced in March 2019, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was initially slated for a March 2020 release. Developed by Hardsuit Labs at the time, the game faced its first delay to an unspecified date in 2020, which was later pushed to 2021. Amidst these delays, several key team members departed from the project. In a significant shift, Paradox Interactive announced in February 2021 that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and development would be handed over to The Chinese Room. Under this new team, the game's release was anticipated for late 2024, then shifted to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is now scheduled to launch in October 2025 across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest updates and more information on the game, be sure to check out our related articles.
