After conquering Archfiend Baramos, your quest continues in the perpetually dark world of Alefgard. Zoma's Citadel awaits – the final, formidable dungeon. To access it, you must obtain the Rainbow Drop.
Reaching Zoma's Citadel
The Rainbow Drop requires:
- Sunstone: Found in Tantegel Castle.
- Staff of Rain: Located in the Shrine of the Spirit.
- Sacred Amulet: Received from Rubiss after rescuing her atop the Tower of Rubiss (requires the Faerie Flute).
Combine these items to create the Rainbow Drop, summoning the Rainbow Bridge to Zoma's Citadel.
1F Walkthrough
Navigate the first floor to the throne in the north. Interacting with it reveals a hidden passage. Explore side chambers for treasure. Prepare for a challenging encounter with Living Statues in the central chamber.
1F Treasure:
- Mini Medal (buried behind throne)
- Seed of Magic (electrified panel)
B1 Walkthrough
B1 is primarily a passage to B2, unless you use the alternative stairways from 1F. The isolated chamber contains a single chest.
B1 Treasure:
- Hapless Helm
B2 Walkthrough
This floor features directional tiles. Mastering their mechanics (detailed below) is crucial to progress. The Tower of Rubiss offers practice tiles.
Directional Tile Mechanics:
The tiles use a diamond pattern. For North/South movement, use the D-pad: Blue half indicates direction; Orange half indicates the opposite. For East/West, the orange arrow indicates the direction; press up for the arrow's direction, down for the opposite.
B2 Treasure:
- Scourge Whip
- 4,989 Gold Coins
B3 Walkthrough
The main path circles the chamber. A detour to the southwest reveals Sky, a friendly monster. Falling through holes on B2 leads to an isolated chamber with another friendly monster (Liquid Metal Slime).
B3 Treasure:
- Main Chamber: Dragon Dojo Duds, Double-Edged Sword
- Isolated Chamber: Bastard Sword
B4 Walkthrough
The final floor before Zoma. Navigate from the south, moving upwards and around to the southeast exit. A significant cutscene plays upon entering.
B4 Treasure: Six chests in one chamber (listed right to left): Shimmering Dress, Prayer Ring, Sage's Stone, Yggdrasil Leaf, Dieamend, Mini Medal
Defeating Zoma
A boss gauntlet precedes Zoma: King Hydra, Soul of Baramos, and Bones of Baramos. Item usage is allowed between fights.
King Hydra: Vulnerable to Kazap. Aggressive tactics are recommended due to its healing ability.
Soul of Baramos: Weak to Zap.
Bones of Baramos: Similar weaknesses to the Soul. Higher damage output requires careful health management.
Zoma: Initially protected by a magic barrier. Use the Sphere of Light to remove the barrier, then exploit his weakness to Zap attacks. Prioritize HP and MP management; strategic play is key.
